We are excited to announce the second annual Groundhog Show at the Warehouse (509 Portage Lakes Dr., Akron, OH). Anything celebrating socialization, domesticity, relationships etc. would make a wonderful submission. That said, anything weird and funky is also appreciated as the show is all about celebrating life, weird, bad, good, ugly. Submit up to three pieces for $7. Selections are made based on photos provided, work most be dropped off in-person. The point of the Groundhog Show is to pop our heads out “post-covid” and claim back the summer with some great networking between creatives. 100% of art sales goes to artists.
The show will be on display for two weekends show. The opening Saturday night with a private event. Attendance for event is strongly encouraged. The Warehouse will be open to the public for viewing the follow day and weekend. Drop off for work is Tuesday June 6st. Pick up is Monday June 20th. We cannot accept mailed work nor can we mail artwork. First, second and third place winners will win something, prizes are surprises. Juror yet to be selected. Live Music on June 11- Starting Gun is Devon Sager and Michael Cardarelli, a duo whose musical influences span many genres and decades. They started playing together in 2015, and have been doing covers and writing original music since. They're currently in the process of writing and recording a debut album.
